“Thank you for delivering my Pine Marten feeder. It arrived promptly. I was surprised at how well built it is. It is much more substantial than the red squirrels feeders I own.
It looks like it will also take some weathering. Within a very few days of installation, at a secluded wooded location, it had quite a number of visitors trying their luck at stealing the peanuts. However, to my great surprise and delight, a pine marten appeared. He (or she) was the only one who has managed to gain entry. It has been a regular visitor to the box. I managed some photos on an inexpensive trailcam.
The video link below, shows the interest from other animals and birds (abbreviated a bit) and some visits, including the first, of the pine marten. You will see it took him/her no time at all to work out how to eat the nuts. Thought this may be of interest to you and potential customers. The location is near the village of Killin, Perthshire.”
